Welcome to Let’s Talk Tires!

I’m Kevin, co-owner of Kraft Tire & Auto Service, a family owned tire and auto service shop serving the Greater Marlborough, MA area since 1983.    The business was started by my father, Bob (not the owner of the New England Patriots) in 1982 as a wholesale tire distributor.  He added a retail tire shop in 1983 and eventually added full service automotive and light truck repair.  Today my brother, Gary, and I are committed to fostering long term relationships with our customers.  Both of us Have been at the front desk for over 12 years now making sure that you receive the dedicated and consistent service that you deserve.

Kevin, Bob & Gary

We have your typical company website, www.krafttire.com, which details our product and service offerings, allows 24/7 on line scheduling and quote requests and  a tire catalog so you can choose the right tire for your vehicle.  We stock a large number of name brand tires including Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, Yokohama, Kumho, Bridgestone, Firestone and more.  We offer full service auto care including brakes, exhaust, engine diagnostics, factory maintenance  schedules, fluid flushes and alignments.  We have a large waiting area with a 42″ wide screen TV, Keurig coffee and free wifi service.  We also offer a free shuttle service so you can leave your car and get to where you need to be.

I hope that I can provide useful tips about shopping and caring for your tires, servicing your vehicle, highway safety, etc. in more detail than you would get on our website.   What is an alignment and why is it important to have your vehicle aligned?   What is the proper way to repair a tire?  Is it important to follow the manufacturers’ recommended service intervals?   What do all those numbers and letters mean on the sidewall of the tire?  Why can’t I just replace my Tire Sensors with the old rubber valve stems?  What’s the difference between a high performance tire and a touring tire?   I have all season tires, aren’t they they supposed to give me all the traction I need in the winter?  I will answer these questions and more.
